Hannah Langes went to the Norwegian Cup
Hey Hannah! So stoked to hear about your trip to Geilo. How was the Norwegian Cup? How did everything go?
Getting to Geilo, my time schedule was pretty tight: we just had 3 days there, and two of them were travel days. All in all, the days were pretty long but absolutely amazing!
The Norwegian Cup was a great opportunity and a wonderful experience. It made me happy to see that I am able to perform in unknown conditions! I enjoyed riding a lot, and I’m really stoked about the results…
We heard you were hitting up some street spots in Oslo after the comps — how did that part of the trip turn out?
Streetskiing in Oslo was amazing! So many different street rail structures and plenty to choose from. The people were really welcoming, and we never had any difficulties getting kicked out from spots! It was such a nice experience (especially since we’ve had different experiences in other cities and countries…).
Maybe our time management wasn’t always the best: nearly every spot we hit took way more time and effort than expected, so we usually came home very late. But every day on Oslo‘s street obstacles was so much fun and such a great opportunity to extend my skills that getting up early the next day didn’t really leave a choice. It was definitely so worth going there!
Did you manage to get any of those street spots on tape? Any film projects in the works, maybe?
Yes, we filmed a lot, and I definitely got a few clips… at the moment, I’m not yet able to say for which project the material will be used. But I’m sure that there will be the right opportunities and projects for screening the best clips!
And lastly, when you're packing for events and comps like this, what Eivy gear do you always make sure to bring along?
One of my go-to’s is for sure the Ball Fleece - Curve Camo! It fits perfectly and has a nice shape—it keeps me warm, and I’m able to move/spin with it very well. And on top of that, I really love the pockets!
Another must-have is the Lumberjackie Sherpa Vest - Black because it’s easy to combine with the fleeces, and sometimes it’s just nicer than a jacket.
I also love the Light Mountain Cap - Black because I can wear it underneath the helmet, and if it’s raining, it keeps my sight clear while streetskiing. And of course, it matches my style very well!
And last but not least, the 3/4 tights! They have a tight waistband, they stay where they should, and they don’t slide down—a big advantage for me since I’ve always struggled with that…king.
Big thanks for chatting with us and we're super stoked to see some of the clips out there in the future!
