Summer with Linda Bergmann 

Hi Linda! Always looking forward to our seasonal catch-ups. How’s the Icelandic summer been so far?
It’s been … interesting. 😆 May was fantastic, sunny, and hot even, but June has been quite wet this year, and July so far wasn’t much better. I truly hope this changes again soon. 

Summer in Iceland feels like it could be pure magic (when the weather is on your side), but it also makes me curious – if you couldn’t spend your summer there, where would you go instead?
Usually, it's truly magical with the lupins in full bloom and the midnight sun. I love summer in all the Nordic countries, but I am a huge fan of Canada. So, if I had to choose, it would be British Columbia - it has everything an outdoor lover can dream of. 

Are there any summer adventures in your area you’d recommend to someone visiting Iceland this summer season?
Oh, there is so much. We have so many crazy good hikes, especially in the highlands, which are amazing. Or maybe try Arctic surfing in Seltjarnarnes/Grotta, kayaking in Skjálfandi Bay (where you might even spot whales), or whitewater rafting on the river Hvítá. I would personally recommend the Laugavegur trek to everyone - I did it last summer, and it was an absolute dream! 

And of course – what Eivy pieces are your top picks for summer?
As always, vests, vests, vests. They go year-round, and I am literally obsessed. The biker shorts are a must, as well. And I am so in love with the new Outdoor collection. The oversized pants are lightweight, yet robust, and the utility vest even withstands the Icelandic wind, which says a lot. 😆
